Polly CS at S&R fundraises for National Deaf Children's Society

At Sinclair & Rush, one thing we pride ourselves on is having a brilliant team. Their compassion and strength is what makes our 5-star service possible. We enjoy shouting about their merits by sharing their stories and achievements with you all, so read on for this week's staff news article.

Polly, a dedicated employee who has been with our Customer Services team for 13 years, is currently participating in a fundraiser to support "The National Deaf Children's Society". The event is called "50k for May”. You can complete your 50k challenge in any way that works for you over 31 days, by walking, running, or rolling.  The idea is to take your time with it and it is an all-inclusive challenge that is suitable for people of all fitness levels and disabilities.

Polly and her husband Ashley have three beautiful girls Florence, Hattie and Mabel. Two of them suffer from hearing loss and have hearing aids (Hattie and Mabel). The support they have received from NDCS has been invaluable. They have given untold amounts of advice and help for Polly, Ashley and their children and now they want to give something back by getting involved in this fantastic fundraiser.

Now for a little bit about NDCS

The National Deaf Children’s Society has been breaking down barriers for 70 years, beginning the journey when 14 parents of deaf children came together to drive change for their deaf children and give them the best possible life. Since then, it has grown to have freephone helplines, several upgraded websites, and completed several successful campaigns for deaf children’s rights in many ways, plus much more (check out their website for more information).

At the NDCS, their main goal is to give expert advice and support on childhood deafness, as well as raise awareness and shout about deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as the rest.

If possible, please consider donating to this charity. Polly and her family would be so grateful, as would the NDCS. To donate on Facebook, CLICK HERE

To finalise, please see some comments from Polly:

“The National Deaf Children's Society has been a big part of our life and has helped us so much! We would love to raise as much money for this lovely charity who has helped us and our children ❤️ Any donation is appreciated.”
