Well 2023 is nearly over and what a year it has been! We thought we would finish the year with a summary of all of the wonderful Christmas related things we have been up to as a business, along side visuals of the process too.
Firstly, check out our Christmas shut down video, it is a bit of fun but has our business opening hours there for your information.
At Christmas time, Sinclair & Rush always support one or more Charities in various ways. This year we have worked with The Dogs Trust - specifically their Maidstone Charity shop as this is close to our Allington branch.
A bit about The Dogs Trust: The Dogs Trust began in 1891 and was founded by Lady Gertrude Stock. Nowadays dogs are part of the family but when this charity began, the way dogs were treated was incredibly different. They were there to do a job and often dogs were chained up, and ill treated. Lady Gertrude Stock started the National Canine Defence League and her small group fought against cruelty to these furry beings. As the years went on, they worked hard and the charity developed. Surviving two world wars and working overseas. In 2003 they had a rebrand became Dogs Trust and have had many successes. Making them a long standing and reputable charity!
They now have 22 centres in the UK but this does not include their overseas help. They have rehomed a huge number of dogs and brought so much happiness to these loyal companions.

This year we chose to raise donations across our Rochester and Maidstone site. Clothes and Bric-a-brac are much needed items at The Dogs Trust as there is a demand for them in their charity shops. We are proud to say we have organised around 40 bags and boxes amongst our teams!
We are stronger together, which is shown year on year as all staff members come together to support local charities!
19.12.2023 Charity Update - Ellie in Marketing handed over to The Dogs Trust the very many donations that our fantastic staff raised for us as at Sinclair & Rush. In fact, we had so many amazing donations that we ended up splitting some to another local charity shop in Maidstone. The Heart of Kent Hospice. They were thrilled to receive these Christmas goodies to sell in their shop!
Similarly, this Christmas, we also got involved in Christmas Jumper Day, donating money to Save The Children. It is always great to begin the festivities in the workplace with Christmas Jumper Day as well as supporting a charitable organisation. Just check out the supporting images of our teams in their festive jumpers. These images are of the Sales team and our HR Manager.
Likewise, our Christmas meal is always a fantastic occasion for the team at S&R. It is the one time every year that all staff across both sites, day or night shift workers, come together to celebrate achievements the past year with a fantastic raffle and presentation from Mark Osborn the MD here. Our meal will be on Thursday 21st December so watch this space for some images from the meal!
Lastly, and a fantastic way to finish, is our Christmas Bloopers video from the video marketing we do throughout the year! Video marketing isn't an easy task and the finished videos do not show the blood, sweat, tears and laughter the journey took to get there... So please check out our outtakes video below. We hope you laugh watching it as much as we did making it!
Merry Christmas all!
