“Golf has too much walking to be a good game, and just enough game to spoil a good walk." Oscar Wilde
Well Nathan and Tom are going to well and truly ruin the game by playing 4 rounds back-to-back, walking over 20 miles in aid Macmillan Cancer Support on the 20th of June (not quite the Longest Day, but the closet they could book!). The longest day challenge means playing 72 holes of golf, without the aid of a cart in a single day, hence the need for the most daylight hours possible.
Gillingham Golf Club, where we sponsor the 3rd Tee as part of our community support program, will be hosting the event and have kindly offered a search party should the final round take longer than expected.
Throughout the day, we will topping the team up to a four-ball with guests from the company, some much more able than others... Ellie will be on hand to post updates on our social channels for anyone that wants to get involved.
"I haven't played in over 20 years, so doubt I will be able to hit anything straight, but I still think the first four-ball of the day will be the lowest scoring - very happy to put something on this for the charity..." Allan, Sales Manager
