Sinclair & Rush Inc., through its VisiPak division, has successfully completed the acquisition of National Plastics, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri, a thermoform manufacturer focused on clamshell packaging and clamshell stocking programs. The move by VisiPak, a leading manufacturer of clear plastic packaging products, expands their current line of plastic thermoform packaging to include additional shapes and sizes. Both manufacturers also produce thermoformed blisters and trays. Production will continue at both facilities as each location will remain in operation. This acquisition expands the VisiPak domestic manufacturing locations to three in the St. Louis, MO area and one in Carlstadt, NJ. VisiPak also offers international manufacturing capabilities in the United Kingdom, China and Australia.
“This acquisition correlates directly with our long-term strategies regarding increased product offerings and market reach,” said Brad Philip, President and COO of Sinclair & Rush, Inc. Mr. Philip continued, “The synergies created allow us to offer the broadest line of packaging products and related services, from concept to completion, of anyone in the industry.”
The move increases manufacturing capacity and augments packaging options for customers from both businesses. The VisiPak customer base will have an expanded selection of clamshell packaging with over 140 additional sizes and styles bringing the total to over 170 in-stock, ready-to-ship options. The National Plastics customer base will now have access to the complete line of VisiPak packaging solutions including plastic tube container packaging, clear folding cartons, flexible vinyl caps and plastic plugs for use with its plastic tube containers. In addition, VisiPak will continue to offer decorating, design services, contract packaging, assembly and fulfillment services at its U.S. and international manufacturing locations.
Jeff Barket, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sinclair & Rush, Inc., stated, "VisiPak and National Plastics share several key fundamentals, such as a vision for differentiated growth in the marketplace, strong technology platforms, and a high performance culture committed to operational excellence and providing quality products. Through this acquisition, we expect to accelerate our growth efforts and expand our presence as one of the largest plastic packaging manufacturers in North America."
