At Sinclair & Rush, we continuously strive to improve our practices to become as sustainable and efficient as possible. As part of this commitment, we are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Best.Energy, a global leader in energy efficiency and smart building solutions.
About Best.Energy
Best.Energy operates on a worldwide scale, with a strong presence in key regions across Europe, North America, Asia, and beyond. Their expertise lies in delivering cutting-edge solutions to monitor, manage, and optimise energy consumption for businesses, helping organisations like ours achieve measurable reductions in energy waste and emissions.
The Goal of Our Partnership
The primary objective of this collaboration is for Best.Energy to support Sinclair & Rush in becoming more energy-efficient, reducing overall energy consumption, and providing clear, data-driven insights into our energy usage. By gaining access to tangible statistics on wasted energy, we aim to make significant, targeted improvements to reduce inefficiencies.
A Focused Project in the UK
Our energy efficiency project will initially begin in the UK, specifically at our Maidstone and Rochester factories. While we are in the early stages, this initiative has the potential to expand further into our global operations, including our sister companies in the United States and China.
At this phase, Best.Energy is closely monitoring our electricity consumption at the asset level, tracking real-time energy usage across individual equipment and systems, such as air conditioning units and the machinery used in our manufacturing processes. This detailed approach will enable us to identify exactly where energy is being wasted unnecessarily.
Next Steps: Action and Accountability
Initially, Best.Energy completed a free desk based survey, which led to our onsite survey. Following that they completed the installation of their monitoring solution. Once the results are in, we will receive actionable recommendations on how to improve energy efficiency across our facilities.
However, achieving these targets will require a collaborative effort. From leadership to factory floor employees, everyone at Sinclair & Rush will play a crucial role in this initiative. Simple yet impactful actions—such as ensuring machinery, lights, and air conditioning units are turned off at the end of each shift—will make a significant difference.
Smart Solutions for Tangible Results
Best.Energy also offers innovative, cloud-based software that can integrate with our appliances and machinery. This software allows us to automate energy-saving measures, such as programming equipment to shut down at specific times. Combined with a cultural shift in how our teams approach energy usage, this technology will help us meet our reduction targets efficiently and effectively.
Ongoing Collaboration for Success
Regular meetings will be held between Mark Osborn, Managing Director of Sinclair & Rush, and Best.Energy’s leadership team to ensure we remain on track to achieve our energy reduction goals. Together, we will monitor progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes as we work toward creating a more sustainable future.
Watch this space as Sinclair & Rush takes meaningful steps to reduce energy consumption, lower costs, and contribute to the global effort to protect our planet.
