At Sinclair & Rush, we’re always looking for ways to improve and grow to better serve our customers. One of our biggest recent projects has been the expansion and extension of our Rochester factory – an ambitious development that has been in the works for some time.
This expansion has required extensive planning and organisation, and we are thrilled to share that significant progress has been made since our last update!
Latest Updates on the Build
The structure is now up, and we’ve reached a key milestone by capping it where it meets our existing building. This cap ensures that no water or air can get through, keeping the new space protected as we continue the build.
At the back of the factory, fencing is being installed to create a uniform and secure boundary. This work is being carried out by I Wallond, ensuring consistency and high-quality installation.
The next steps in our expansion include:
✅ Installing emergency doorways and exits
✅ Roller shutter doors, which are scheduled for early February
✅ Internal work, including electrics and lighting, in preparation for Building Regulations checks.
The extension work itself is being managed by MidBrook, with specialist contractors brought in for key areas to ensure everything is completed to the highest standard.
Once the construction is complete and all checks are passed, we will move on to fitting racking and reorganising our space to maximise efficiency. Lastly, we will then begin the move of all our stock and components from Unit 23. It is a busy time!
