The purpose of this is for our people to get to know you a little bit better, in a fun and relaxing way. So let’s get right into it…
First of all, Congratulations on your 5th year Work Anniversary. Thank you for all your hard work over the past 5 years. We are all very proud of you.
Five years is quite a long time to be at one employer for someone as young as yourself. Tell us, besides money 😊, what has kept you motivated during this time?
"I think for me it’s been the challenges that I’ve been given – I had a goal that I could work towards and I always want to progress and strive to be the best in my position at work. I am very goal driven and that is what motivates me."
Whilst working for S&R, do you feel that you have learned vital life skills that you can take with you into later life?
"I think so. I was 18 years old when I started here, so this is my first job. Yes, I think I have definitely learned lots of life skills. My confidence within myself has grown massively over the past 5 years. I am able to do things now that maybe I was scared of doing before."
If you were able to set the clock back, to your first day at work, how would you want people to make you feel welcome and comfortable in what can sometime seem to be quite an intimidating environment?
"I don’t think personally I would really need to change anything. I feel like we all got on very well from the start. The people that I was introduced to on my first day made me feel welcome. I started working on Chris's shift and I remember him showing me around."
Now onto the more fun stuff…What do you do to relax when you’re not at work?
"On the weekends I like to pursue my DJ/music profession with my friend Ryan, who also used to work at S&R. We have actually just secured a full-time residency at Source Bar in Maidstone where we play two weekends a month – don’t forget to pop in and come and see us. I also love football and regularly go up with my dad to watch our favourite team, Chelsea. Other than that I like to spend time with my friends and family and obviously my girlfriend. ❤"
