So let’s get right into it…
First of all, Congratulations on your 5th year Work Anniversary. Thank you for all your hard work over the past 5 years. We are all very proud of you.
Five years is quite a long time to be at one employer for someone as young as yourself. Tell us, what has kept you here throughout all these years?
"I feel comfortable in the role and the people I work with are mostly friendly. It’s within close proximity to my home and fits into my lifestyle. I’m not really the type of person who likes to job-hop – staying at one employer creates stability, both financially and mentally which is important to me."
Whilst working for S&R, do you feel that you have learned vital life skills that you can take with you into later life?
"Yes I have. I have loads more confidence now than when I first joined at the age of 18. Speaking on the phone for instance was not something I did at all. But at work you have no choice, you just have to do it.
Financially, I’m also more aware and took the advice that was given to me at one of our Lightbulb talks a few years ago about investments etc."
If you were asked to recruit new employees to Sinclair & Rush, what would you tell them about our company?
"I can only speak for what I’ve done over the past 5 years – it’s not hard to understand what is expected of you so once you’ve got your head around that, it’s an easy enough role.
Generally speaking, most people are helpful and friendly. It’s a nice environment to work in."
Now onto the more fun stuff…
What do you do to relax when you’re not at work?
"I enjoy go-karting and watching football and spending time with my friends. I like travelling and exploring new places – I try to do this around once every six weeks or so."
