We are delighted to announce our recent support for Green & Away, a pioneering environmental charity dedicated to promoting sustainable living and environmental education. Our donation of a wheel has enhanced their operational efficiency, aiding in the seamless execution of their eco-friendly events.
About Green & Away
Established over 35 years ago, Green & Away is a UK environmentally friendly outdoor conference centre. Each summer, they transform a farmer's field into an eco-village under canvas, hosting a variety of events, including educational talks, retreats, and private gatherings, accommodating up to 200 participants. The entire setup, comprising marquees, kitchens, and composting toilets, is constructed and dismantled by a dedicated team of 30-40 volunteers from around the world, ensuring the site is left as it was found. They also host events, so organisations are able to hire the space for their own conferences and events also.
Our Contribution
Green & Away maintains a fleet of wheelbarrows to transport equipment and luggage across their expansive site. When one of their wheelbarrows, originally used in garden centres, suffered a broken tyre of an unusual size, they faced a challenge in sourcing a replacement. They came across our website but realised we have MOQ in place. Recognising their need, we donated a wheel to them free of charge, ensuring their operations continued without interruption. It has been great to support this unique charity in even a small way.
Peter Lang, a co-founder of Green & Away and its current Chair of Trustees, has been instrumental in guiding the charity's vision and operations. His leadership has been pivotal in creating a space where individuals can experience sustainable living firsthand, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and solutions. T
We are proud to support Green & Away's mission and contribute to their ongoing efforts in environmental education and sustainable practices. Our collaboration underscores our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote ecological responsibility and community engagement.
